Pink: movie review

Pink, a soft name for strong motive movie. ‘No, NO is a NO’ very simple and precisely narrated by director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The best thing about PINK is that it has smashing dialogues. A job well done by Ritesh Shah. Let’s take a look at such dialogues.

1) “Hamare yaha ghadi ki sui character decide karti hai”

2) ” Rock show mein hai toh hint hai aur library ya Mandir mein hai toh hint nahi? Venue decide karta hai character”

Acting of senior actor Amitabh Bachchan who has portrayed role of a lawyer who is very well experienced and who sometimes go through mood swings, along with the reactions given by Taapsee Pannu and kirti Kulhari Cannot be replaced by anyone else. More over the Film is recognized by its enlivening dialogues which were majorly delivered by Amitabh Bachchan throughout film. Kirti Kulhari did justice to her role, a girl who is level minded, smart, mature. In short all the characters in the film did well and made their character shine.

Film is filled with multi genre. It has drama but there is a bit of action along with some laughing scenes followed by emotional and inspiring scenes. Only ending scene is a drawback. The ending could have been improved, even if the Film had to end at district level court then ending could have been stronger and as entertaining as rest of the film. Since very first scene, story took time for the audience to absorb and to establish every scene properly… and then suddenly the end! Abrupt ENDING that’s all I can say.

The whole concept of this film is very different compared to other films which have been made on women empowerment. Often we see films which revolves around female who have been raped or something terrible has been done but what about females who somehow save themselves from getting raped or before something terrible happens? This film is unique in their concept. Here I would like to end it with a pink’s dialogue which was spoken by Amitabh Bachchan in the Film.

These boys must realise that No ka matlab No hota hai. Use bolne wali ladki koi parichit ho, friend ho, girlfriend ho, koi sex worker ho ya aapki apni biwi hi kyu na ho. ‘No’ means no and when someone says No, you stop.
